Day 145

Me posting every single day would have been great, but here we are. Today is June 14, 2024 and this is technically day 145 of this financial journey that I am on.

I am no longer slanging meat for a living. I am now doing work that matters. I like the company so far and I can see myself being here for a long time.

New job means I haven’t gotten a paycheck in couple of weeks. Meaning the CoverDrafts and SpotMes have all been maxed out….but I will be making more money when the checks do come.

Today, I got my first check from my new job. While, this is probably the smallest check that I will receive the entire time that I work here, it was more than I have ever seen on one check. Mind you, my benefits haven’t begun coming out yet.

The check was $1,700

Rent:  1,100 - I moved

Lights: 250

I got Ally out of the negative…FINALLY. It was -$245.

Capital One is no longer Negative. That one was only -$45

I have like $10 before I get into the overdraft game again, BUT MY BILLS ARE PAID…except my car note. I will donate plasma and go in the negative a bit for that.

What I will do is lower my CoverDraft. It is currently at $250. I’m going to lower it to $200. Baby steps

I now get paid twice a week at this new job. After next week, I will be out of training and then let the commission begin flowing. Because this job is commission, I can literally set my work goals to my budget…. To exceed my budget.

I want to put that together because I know that I will have to do the work before. I can also start looking at where I want to have yoga classes.

Jamila said the first step is to not go in the negative trying to pay all bills. I am almost to that point.
