Check in on Your goals
My uncle has told me from a young age that if I failed to plan, I planned to fail. Having a plan is needed to achieve goals. This was supposed to be the year to crush your goals, live your dreams, and serve your purpose. The beginning of the year is a great time to reset and start something new. Having a clear vision of what you want to finish in the new year is “kei”. Knowing your goals is truly important to success.
Now I don't have to go into detail about how 2020 has not been what was expected because...yeah. I truly believe that God did not put me here to calm the storm, but to remain calm in the storm. I have continued to try to push through with my goals even through these trying times. Around my birthday last year, I made a list of everything I wanted to do this year. EVERYTHING. Then picked 3.
Of your goals you set at the beginning of 2020, which ones have you accomplished?
This is my check-in for my goals. June came faster than I anticipated but hey. Here we are...
1. Read 50 Books.
I definitely have not been keeping up with this like I am supposed to. I have narrowed my book down to 5 books at this point. Instead of reading, I have began listening to more podcasts. If we are being honest, I have also been binging a looooooooot of shows.
2. Lose 25 pounds.
As of yesterday, I have lost 22 pounds!! DOPE. I am almost there. I made some waist beads and it feels pretty nice to watch them fall on my shrinking waist.
3. Pay off $10,000 of debt.
I should be at the $5,000 mark with paying off my debt and I am happy to say that I have paid off $4,500. I have been sticking to my budget, working my side hustles, and really being intentional about my journey to being debt free.
